How km billing works
For example, say your rate card gives 200 km a day and ₹10 per km after that. A customer takes a car for one day and the odometer shows 320 km driven. The 120 extra kilometres add ₹1,200 to the bill.
The car rental software only adds km charges when the rate card has km terms and the odometer was recorded at both pickup and return — so a missed reading never turns into a wrong bill.
When the car comes back within the allowance
For example, with the same rate card (200 km a day, ₹10 per km after that), a customer drives 180 km in the day. That is inside the 200 km included, so no km charge is added.
When a reading is missed
Suppose the odometer was recorded at pickup but nobody noted it at return. The app does not guess: it only adds km charges when the reading was recorded at both pickup and return, so a missed reading never turns into a wrong bill. Record both readings every time and the km charge is always counted.
