Why rental shops switch from the notebook
A notebook cannot stop two people renting out the same vehicle, remind you that a bike's insurance has expired, or tell you how much of the cash drawer is customers' deposits. RentalNow does all three, and works even when the shop has no signal.

How a vehicle rental runs, from booking to return
A booking holds a vehicle for a date. When the customer arrives you convert it into a rental: pick the vehicle, take the deposit and note the customer's driving licence or Aadhaar number (a car cannot be handed over without a driving licence number). While the vehicle is out it shows as out and cannot be rented again.
When it comes back, overtime and fuel are worked out and added to the bill. For cars on km-based rates, extra kilometres are added too, but only when the odometer was recorded at both pickup and return. The deposit is settled and the bill goes to the customer on WhatsApp.
At the end of the day the earnings view shows the day's cash and UPI, with deposits held shown separately, so you always know what is yours and what you are holding for customers.
Papers that never lapse unnoticed
Insurance, PUC, permit and fitness expiry dates are tracked for each vehicle. A vehicle whose papers have expired is blocked from renting out until they are renewed.
Control for the owner, speed for the counter
Counter staff can rent out and take back. Earnings, pricing and settings are owner-only, and every action carries a name and a timestamp. For customer ID the app records the driving licence or Aadhaar number only, and tells staff not to keep photos of documents on the phone.

Questions rental shop owners ask
What if there is no internet at my shop?
You keep working. Rentals and returns are saved on the phone and upload themselves when the signal returns.
Is my data only on one phone?
No. It is on your account and appears on every device you sign in on. Change phones and nothing is lost.
Can my counter staff see my earnings?
No. Staff can rent out and take back. Money, pricing and settings are owner-only, and every action carries a name and a timestamp.
Do I have to type in all my rates?
No. Photograph your printed price list and the app reads the models and rates in. Fix anything it got wrong and you are done.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Renting out pauses. Taking vehicles back, settling bills and refunding deposits keep working, so no customer on the road is affected.
Do I need to download it from the Play Store?
No. It installs from the browser in seconds, opens full screen like an app and is about 300 KB.
Can the same vehicle be rented out twice?
No. A vehicle that is out cannot be rented out again. The fleet list shows each vehicle as out, free or blocked.
